Actor Parag Tyagi has shared an emotional tribute to his late wife Shefali Jariwala, days after the popular actress and dancer—best known for the iconic song Kaanta Laga—passed away at the age of 42.
In a heartfelt note posted on Instagram, Parag remembered Shefali not just as a celebrity, but as a deeply caring and loving person who touched many lives with her presence.
“Shefali, Meri Pari—the ever-eternal Kaanta Laga—was so much more than what met the eye. She was fire wrapped in grace—sharp, focused, and fiercely driven… But beyond all her titles and achievements, Shefali was love in its most selfless form,” he wrote.
Describing her as “sab ki maa,” Parag recalled how Shefali always put others first—offering warmth, support, and unconditional love to family, friends, and even their pet Simba.
He further added: “In the chaos of grief, it’s easy to be swept away by noise and speculation. But Shefali deserves to be remembered by her light… Let that be her legacy — a soul so radiant, she will never, ever be forgotten. Love you till eternity.”
Shefali Jariwala passed away on June 27 after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband, but was declared dead on arrival. The Mumbai Police has since sent her body for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death, which remains “reserved” as per initial reports.
A prayer meet in Shefali’s memory was held on July 2 in Mumbai, attended by close friends and family members.
Shefali rose to fame with her breakout appearance in the early 2000s hit Kaanta Laga, later featuring in several reality shows and projects. She was widely admired not only for her on-screen charm but also for her kindness and grounded nature off-screen.
